Hi, I’m Lauren Skrenes.

I’m an experienced UX specialist who blends strategic vision with a breadth of skills in design to deliver projects that delight users and drive business growth.

I bring subject matter expertise to help shape your UX strategy, and extensive design skills that create the bridge from from ideation to tangible product. I can bring ideas to life from design concept to delivery, helping manage and guide projects to keep things on track.

Over the past decade, I’ve led global experience transformations by applying design thinking methodologies, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, and innovation.

As Senior Manager of User Experience & Design, I led initiatives that elevated client engagement, developed user-centered processes, and aligned digital experiences with enterprise targets. My approach combines research & analysis, ideation workshops, iterative prototyping, and UX-tested solutions with a strong focus on accessibility and user needs.

What I Do

UX Design & Prototyping

I have over a decade of experience as a designer, innovating user touch points from user experience processes, internal applications, responsive web designs, to tangible print outputs. I leverage my skills in design thinking to carry projects through the UX process from persona building and journey mapping, to interactive wireframes and prototyping.

User Research & Testing

Well versed in both quantitative and qualitative user research methods, analysis, and findings synthesis. I’ve conducted numerous user surveys, interviews, and testing to ensure we’re solving for the right problems and keep our user’s needs at the forefront on design solutions.

Personas & Journey Mapping

I trained with McKinsey to learn multiple techniques for creating user personas, empathy mapping, and user journeys. I’ve facilitated several workshops at the stakeholder and executive level to generate effective journey maps. From current state journey analysis to future state journey ideation, I can help uncover actionable opportunities for growth and retention.

Technical Requirements

With experience as a front-end developer, I’m deeply familiar with writing business requirements and facilitating handoff to development teams. I’m comfortable in an agile UX environment, and able to foster working relationships with IT teams to ensure support through the delivery lifecycle.

Management, Strategy, and Workshops

Capable of taking the lead on end-to-end UX projects, mentoring junior designers, facilitating design workshops, and building an actionable roadmap to further UX strategy, I’m comfortable with multiple roles to bring projects to life!
